Our scent stix are a great addition to your training kit for your puppy or dog.
They are made from a soft fleece fabric that stretches so you can easily insert treats for your puppy or dog. They have been designed as a toy you can hide for your dog. You can either place treats between the braids or put the toys in a tin with cat-nip to enhance the toy for your dog to find.
Scent work is a fantastic activity for puppies and dogs of all ages. A low-impact activity that will help to stimulate your puppy or dog mentally. Dogs have over 300 million olfactory receptors. Compared to humans we only have around 6 million. When we teach our dogs how to use their nose to find food or objects this helps to release endorphins that stimulate the brain. 10 minutes of scent work is equivalent to a 1-hour walk.
It is a great activity for children to be involved in. They will have great fun hiding the scent stix for your dog and watching them hunt for them.
