Training lines are a really useful piece of equipment to have for your puppy and or dog. I use mine regularly with Pumpkin. It allows her to explore areas that may not be safe for a dog to be completely off lead.
When our pups are going through adolescence which can start from as young as 12 weeks of age and last until 2 years or beyond for larger breed dogs their brains aren’t able to retain information as well.
If your pup is running off the lead and they don’t always come back to you they are practising behaviour that you don’t want as the environment they are in is often far more rewarding than the owner/handler. Using a long line will give you peace of mind that your dog can explore their environment safely when it isn’t enclosed.
We have started to make BioThane Beta Standard long lines.
Why BioThane®? BioThane® is a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating that makes it more durable waterproof and easy to clean. It is also really nice to handle and doesn’t cause friction burns which you can sometimes get from using the regular polyester webbing that we use for our harnesses and leads.
BioThane® produce a large selection of colours so you will be spoilt for choice!
BioThane® is easy to clean. If the line isn’t too dirty you can just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. If it is really muddy just wash it in a bucket of warm soapy water and dry with a towel. Ensure the trigger clip has been thoroughly dried.
Orders will be made to measure and sent out within 2 weeks of receiving your order. During busier times it may take a bit longer and you will be notified if there is a delay.
